09-10 Schedule is out, Resigned 84, and Koivu & Komisarek as new Rival!

Montreals' unrestricted free agent Tom Kostopoulos has signed a three year contract with Carolina Hurricanes. Kostapoulos has signed for a deal worth of $2.75 million.

Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey re-signed forward Guillaume Latendresse to a 1-year contract for 2009-2010 NHL seasons, as he announced on Wednesday, July 15. He is signed for $830000.

The 22-year-old right-winger scored 14 goals and 12 assists in 56 games with the Habs. In spite of missing 21 games due to injuries, he ranked 3rd on the team and recorded an NHL career-best plus-4 rating.

Montreal will be start off their new journey for Stanley Cup with fresh new players facing their ex-defenseman Mike Komisarek, who is currently signed with Toronto Maples Leafs. Habs will also, finish their season facing their long time rival Toronto. Many other Canadiens players who have signed with other team will also be playing against Montreal Canadiens, and amongst them is Saku Koivu, former Habs Captain.

It will be very strange to see Saku Play against Montreal, and for the first time in his entire career. It will be great to see how fans react to their long time respected captain who will play for Anaheim Ducks, and also, hear some comments from Saku Koivu after the game. Koivu will play against Montreal on Sunday March 7th on the year 2010.
