Kovalev will not return

According to RDS, despite the ultimate effort done by the fans, Bob has reported that Alex Kovalev will not be back. He also, mentioned on CJAD on Monday morning that he made an offer to Kovalev before fre agent day, but there was no response.

Gainey also, mentioned by signing other players Habs bank is empty and there is not enough cash left to make Kovalev an offer, who used to make 4.5 million last year.

Its a sad day for all the Montreal fans, especially for those who worked so hard for the petitiona and those who rallied front of Bell Centre yesterday. Montreal after a long time had found their favorite player who was know as the "artist". Kovalev brought us (all fans) so much happiness and so many moments of joy. Kovy is the player who brought back the emotions and gave a reason to the thousands of fan around the world to dream again about Stanley Cup...
