Koivu off to Ducks!!

Saku koivu, one of the most adored player by the fans of Habs, has signed a contract with Anaheim Ducks. He signed a contract for a year for 3.25 million. He wasn't offered any contract by the GM of Habs, and it was about time he made a decision to sign up with a team. He waited long enough, hoping for a miracle and be back with Montreal.

Saku will be playing with his countrymen Teemu Selanne and Saku is excited. Koivu was the second in Habs history as the longest running captain right behind Jean Beliveau. Saku is a great player and very talented.

Koivu overcame cancer and returned with Montreal, when he received a 8 minute standing ovation by thousands of fans. Saku Koivu will be truely missed in Montreal, he was a great fighter and he brought many joyful moments to the greatest fans in the world 'the Habs Fans".

Saku Koivu, is moving on, he has no choice but to move on, but Saku will always remain on the hearts of fans and will always be respected as one one of the most loyal and commited player of Montreal Canadiens. Saku good luck with your next journey and wherever you go you will always be loved by the fans of Montreal Canadiens.
