According to RDS, LA PRESSE CANADIENNE has reported that Alex Kovalev's fan are rallying up front of the bell centre this afternoon (july 5th), for one last effort to bring him back to Montreal. As we already know, Bob Gainey did make an offer to Alex Kovalev last week, although it is no longer available since team had hired other players.
Since the offer was withdrawn, the fans have been petitioning to keep number 27 in Montreal. There are two petitions that are circulating on the internet.
Many Alex Kovalev's fan argue that since Guy Lafleur there has not been any player as spectacular and popular than the one who is named the 'artist'
Fans are going crazy over Kovalev, I believe its about time Bob, does something to bring smiles on the faces of the fans. The game is not all about playing and management but also, about the support of the fans.
Although, I have mentioned earlier that Kovy is a lazy-type of player, I still believe he is a great asset to the team. I believe he would be a great addition to the newly acquired players, and last but not least his return might even grant him with a "C" on the jersey. Stay tuned for more news.....!
